Project Scope
RDP Interiror contractors where contacted to give a supply and install solution to a severe acoustic reverberation (Echo) problem.
This was a new building in which the architect had specified a solid plasterboard ceiling, solid walls and solid floor - Thus giving the perfect area for high reverberation times.
Being a multipurpose hall which is to be hired out for all types of activities and functions, speech intelligibility was a must.
From the initial site visit, it was made clear that keeping the cost to a minimum whilst having an effective solution was the most important factor, at the same time - It needed to look like it was apart of the original design.
Using all information collected on a site visit, RDP Interior Contractors where able to calculate the area needed to be covered with our sound absorption panels.
A 3D model was created showing how the panels will be set out within the area, and how they would match in with the existing 600 x 600 LED light panels.
After our client was in reciept of all the information the contract was awarded.
The result - Once the acoustic treatment works had been completed, there was a dramatic difference, which has lead to an increase in bookings for the venue.
RDP has since been involved with further projects with the charity.
